Electrician

Electrician in Israel 

Purpose of the job 

• To ensure the Nes Ammim facilities and its electrical installations are safe at all times 
• To ensure the electrical installations comply with the required quality standards   
• To keep all the electrical facilities, installations and machineries in good condition. 
• To develop a more robust and sustainable village and lower the environmental impact by initiating and executing energy saving plans.  

Position in the organization. 

The Electrician reports to the Asset Manager of Nes Ammim, who acts as the contract party of volunteers and employees, with a dotted line to the Maintenance Manager and Hotel Manager. 

Tasks and responsibilities 

• Carry out daily maintenance jobs for the hotel, apartments, village center and various service buildings and leisure areas. 
• Identify and agree areas for improvement (operation/safety/footprint)  
• Act as an activator in the Technical Team for energy reduction  

Scope of assets 

• Heaters, airco’s, fridges, freezers, solar panels, boilers, professional kitchen machinery 
• Electrical installations and networks. 

Scope of contacts 

• Volunteers and employees/colleagues  
• hotel staff and guests 
• Contractors and service providers 

General knowledge and experience 

• Experience in working with volunteers (benefit) 
• Good mastering of English spoken and written. 

Competences and qualifications 

• Professional and experienced electrician in various electrical fiels. 
• Able to organize, plan and prioritize own work; 
• Able to motivate and inspire people. 
• Able to make and take decisions (can do mentality) 
• Flexibility and willingness to improvise (get the job done). 
• Analytical thinking (safety first).

• Willingness to live in a small village community, from diverse backgrounds who live, study and work together, mainly on a voluntary basis. 

Period of stay 

• The Electrician will stay for a preferable duration of 1+ year; a short-term position can be discussed.
